PURPOSE OF POSITION:

This Consultancy serves three key purposes: 1) To be the senior SME for Land Rover, RWMik and Defender mentoring, to provide regular written reports, verbal updates, RFIs and carry out all tasks as directed by the BTAT Operations Manager. 2) Provide expert advice and Mentoring for the Land Rover, RWMik and Defender-Operation, maintenance including - planning, measuring effect and operator training. 3) Engage with BEB and STTTs as directed by BTAT Operations Manager.

ABOUT YOU:

The ideal candidate for this role is an experienced and highly motivated individual with a strong background in military operations, specifically with expertise in Land Rover, RWMik, and Defender vehicles. You will have a track record of providing high-quality advice and mentoring to others, as well as producing regular written reports, verbal updates, and answering RFIs in a timely and accurate manner.

You enjoy working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, with a strong focus on delivering results. You need to have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage effectively with a wide range of stakeholders, including senior military personnel and other consultants.

You also need to be working or have worked in a senior position within the military or in a consultancy firm, with experience in mentoring and providing expert advice on Land Rover, RWMiK, and Defender operations.

Requirements

Written work amp; reporting:

• Production of weekly report (to include supporting photos)
• Production of SME input for Quarterly Reports
• Deploy for 3 x days amp; nights per week to LAF Unit. 1 x Day to be spent report writing at ARK Office/HQ BTAT
• Provide verbal briefs for VIPs Visits as directed
• Support and answer RFIs as directed
• Support of all Land Rover, Defender and RWMik Operational Vignettes

Mentoring support:

• LAF Unit S3 amp; Officers
• Support development of LAF providing expert advice on the RWMiK. Land Rover and Defender

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:

Essential

• Knowledge of military operations and terminology.
• Understanding of the Land Rover, Defender, and RWMiK vehicles, especially in military operations.
• Familiarity with the security and safety protocols and procedures in the operational environment.
• Understanding of the role of SME (Subject Matter Expert) in the reporting and documentation process.
• Knowledge of project management principles and practices.
• Ability to answer RFIs (Requests for Information) in a timely and accurate manner.
• Flexibility and adaptability to changing situations.
• Knowledge of project management principles and practices.

• Experience in military operations, preferably with a focus on reporting and documentation
• Experience in mentoring and coaching others
• Experience in working in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.

Desirable

• Strong report writing and presentation skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Attention to detail in documentation and reporting.
• Ability to provide clear and concise briefs.
