Euromonitor International is searching for a professional and analytical freelance writer to help us create ad-hoc market research reports for some of the leading multinational companies globally. Report types include white papers, financial (e.g. investment opportunity analysis, IPO prospectus), market reports for Governments, copyright work.
You will be responsible for reviewing qualitative and quantitative research information and reporting the findings in a clear, accurate and professional manner. You will work closely with the project teams in order to understand the client’s research objectives, and subsequently create engaging and actionable reports, using the insights provided.
Key tasks:
- Create customized written reports using trade interview transcripts, secondary research, data-sets and other written resources provided to you.
- Gather and review any relevant background information on client and/or industry, as required.
- Perform secondary/desk research as required to boost final report delivered to clients
- Ensure the report follows a clear story-line to communicate key research findings.
- Generate succinct conclusions and strategic recommendations based on the resources provided.
- Communicate with project managers in various global offices to understand the client’s strategic objectives, research question, and desired output
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in creative writing, journalism, English, economics, or related field a plus
- Tenacity in the pursuit of information and a keen attention to detail.
- Proven success in writing executive-level thought leadership pieces
- Ability to understand and express complex concepts and issues in terms understandable to wide audiences;
- Detail-oriented, able to effectively manage time, strong planning skills, and excellent analytical skills
- Previous experience working on a short-term contract basis or in a freelance capacity.
- Work cooperatively with Project Managers to understand and deliver report objectives
- Proven proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel).
