Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and results-oriented Plant General Manager to lead our gypsum products manufacturing plant. This individual will be responsible for the overall protability, eciency, and safety of the plant, overseeing all aspects of production, maintenance, quality control, and commercial activities. The ideal candidate will possess a strong blend of manufacturing operations and commercial experience, with a proven track record of success in leading and managing teams to achieve ambitious goals.

Responsibilities:

Leadership and Management:

  • Provide strategic direction and leadership to the plant, setting clear goals, objectives, and performance metrics.
  • Motivate and empower employees to achieve their full potential, promoting continuous learning and development.
  • Oversee all aspects of plant operations, including production planning, scheduling, and budgeting.
  • Ensure adherence to all safety regulations and environmental standards.

Manufacturing Operations:

  • Implement and maintain best practices in manufacturing and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Optimize production processes to achieve maximum eciency, quality, and productivity.
  • Manage inventory levels effectively, minimizing waste and ensuring timely delivery of nished products.
  • Oversee maintenance activities, ensuring equipment reliability and upkeep.
  • Identify and implement cost-saving measures to improve the plant’s protability.

Commercial Activities:

  • Develop and implement a sales and marketing strategy to drive growth and market share.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers and suppliers.
  • Analyze market trends and competitor activity to identify new business opportunities.
  • Develop and manage pricing strategies to maximize protability.
  • Manage and negotiate contracts with vendors and suppliers.

Financial Management:

  • Develop and implement nancial strategies to mitigate the risks associated with an unstable market.
  • Oversee nancial planning, forecasting, and budgeting processes, ensuring accuracy and alignment with business objectives.
  • Manage cash ow eectively to maintain sucient liquidity and meet nancial obligations. - Monitor and analyze nancial performance metrics, identifying areas for improvement and taking corrective action.
  • Maintain strong relationships with banks and other nancial institutions to secure favorable nancing terms.

Requirements

Qualications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Business Administration, or a related eld (MBA preferred).
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in a leadership role within the manufacturing industry, with a proven track record of success.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing operations, including production planning, scheduling, and budgeting.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and negotiation skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work eectively in a fast-paced and demanding environment.
  • Proven ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams.
  • Demonstrated commercial acumen with experience in sales, marketing, and pricing strategies.
