Job Summary

The Cashier at Hajj Naser Restaurant is responsible for delivering excellent customer service by managing all transactions with customers accurately and efficiently. This role involves handling cash, credit/debit cards, issuing receipts, and maintaining the cleanliness and organization of the cashier station. The ideal candidate is friendly, detail-oriented, and capable of working under pressure in a fast-paced restaurant environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Greet customers warmly and respond to their queries in a polite and professional manner.
  • Operate POS (Point of Sale) system efficiently to process food orders, take payments, and issue receipts.
  • Ensure accuracy in cash handling, including balancing cash drawer at the beginning and end of shifts.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the cashier area.
  • Collaborate with waitstaff and kitchen team to ensure smooth and timely order processing.
  • Monitor and report any discrepancies in transactions or cash shortages to the manager immediately.
  • Promote any ongoing offers or combo meals as per management direction.
  • Handle take-away and delivery orders promptly and accurately.
  • Follow all health, safety, and hygiene standards as set by the restaurant.
  • Perform light administrative duties such as restocking supplies or preparing end-of-day reports.

Qualifications and Skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience as a cashier or in customer service, preferably in a restaurant setting.
  • Basic math and computer skills.
  • Familiarity with POS systems (training will be provided if needed).
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work in a busy environment.
  • Professional appearance and positive attitude.
  • Honest, reliable, and punctual.

Working Hours

Flexible shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required by restaurant operations.
