PURPOSE OF POSITION:

We are looking for a camera assistant to aid our lead videographer on shoots on a part-time consultancy basis. The shoots will require the assistant to handle a second camera for numerous short videos being produced for digital.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assembling and setting up equipment
  • Planning, preparing and rehearsing scenes
  • Following camera scripts
  • Creatively framing and capturing action
  • Responding quickly to directions
  • Liaising with lighting and technical staff.

Requirements

SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE AND EXPERIENCE:

Essential

  • Operating professional grade camera equipment
  • Knowledge in on set sound recording
  • Conception and implementation of film lighting plans
  • Proficiency in video editing software
